I read this quote this morning and knew right then that this is exactly what I wanted to share today because this has been a recurring theme resurfacing at different times for me throughout this last month.


After having an in-depth chat with a friend one afternoon early in September about some struggles I was having of not feeling truly at home where I currently am, she mentioned that it has helped her to think of her body as being her home. 

Something switched for me after that. Sometimes chats with a good friend is all you need to help redirect you back home to yourself. 

Too much focus on the external world was drawing me outward along with my energy. But there's this inner peace that happens when I shift inward. And this drawing inward with a focus on my body as home has helped me get through a lot this month. As challenging situations, news, the external chaos tried to draw me out of my body, I realized these things are merely distractions to my inner peace and reminded myself to come back home and back to myself. 

Where I find my breath.
Where I feel safe.
Where I find a well of inner peace. 

I practice to help bring myself back to center, back home to myself.
